Discover the Préardennaises Crests and its architectural heritage through some magnificent fortified churches or some forgotten castles. You use small country roads with very low traffic. Visit the War and Peace museum in Novion-Porcien which aims to promote the history of the Ardennes during the last three major conflicts. Admire the old Former Post House of Launois-sur-Vence and enjoy one of the many local beers, Ardwen. To be enjoyed with moderation because you still have a few kilometers to reach Signy l'Abbaye.

Dive into the Thiérache which stretches between the Ardennes and the Aisne and discover along your route some magnificent fortified churches which are the jewels of the region. Take the time to stop in one of the most beautiful villages in France, Parfondeval and enjoy the tranquility of the place.

This loop will lead you across the magnificent state forest of Signy l'Abbaye. If you are quiet and patient, it is possible that you meet, deer, fox or wild boar. You can admire some remarkable buildings such as the Halle de St-Jean-aux-Bois, the strong house of the Cour des Prés and some impressive fortified churches in Liart, Aouste, Prez…

This beautiful route will introduce you the Crêtes Préardennaises, across fields and valleys. Enjoy this bucolic landscape to relax and rejuvenate. Besides the beauty of nature, the course will show you to the charming villages of l'Échelle and Clavy Warby. Take a break to discover their castles.

This loop will take you to Lac des Vieilles Forges. If the weather is right, take the opportunity to take a break, swim or canoe. The Ardennes have been for centuries a hotbed of slate mining, 5 petals from 70 to 80km. Visit the Maison de l'Ardoise and its 185m well in Rimogne.

No problem, you can enjoy the same benefits. However, a 40% supplement will be applied to the price of your stay.

You come with children ?

We make you enjoy a preferential rate to experience cycling tourism with your family. This rate is applicable only if the child is accompanied by two adult participants and sharing the same room.

The price includes the rental of a child bike or the rental of a trailer according to its age and size.

BIKES

Our park is made up of CUBE brand adult mountain bikes. This german brand whose reputation for robustness is well established. The bike rental is included in the price, as well as the rental of the helmet, a safety vest, a lock and a repair kit (patches, bicycle pump).

The e-bikes are also CUBE, with a Bosch engine and a 500W battery to ensure complete autonomy throughout the day. Before the start, we give you a battery charger. So, you can each evening, at the stage, recharge your battery for the next day. Electric bikes are suitable for people over 1.55m.

Our company is very recent, our bike fleet is currently relatively small. We reserve the right to call on external service providers to best suit your needs, while offering the same range of services.

BAGS

All are waterproof.

Before the start, we give you a rear bag of 20l per person which will allow you to board the necessary for the day (Picnic lunch, bottle of water, rain clothes, warm clothes). According to our availability, you can ask for an extra bag if you feel the need.

We give a front bag per crew , allowing you to use your smartphone in GPS guidance by being accessible directly on the handlebars.

LOG BOOK AND GPS

Before your start, we give you a roadbook detailing day per day the itinerary to follow and the points of interest. This roadbook is available in french or in english for a few trips.

When you pay the balance of your stay, we send you by email the GPX files of your itinerary. From home, you can save them in your smartphone and download an application to use these files (we recommend the free application "GPX Viewer"). Then, you can, during your stay, use your phone as a GPS, even if you don't have access to the network.

ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING

You will stay in Signy l'Abbaye in a three star hostel. Given that is a Star course, you return to Signy l'Abbaye at the end of each day. You will feel like home because you will occupy the same room during your stay.

You can choose the "half board" option . Sophie and Frederic will offer organic products from their farm or local products. Each night you will enjoy a gourmet and family food.

Regarding lunch, the dining options along your route are relatively limited. However, you'll find shops in Signy l'Abbaye (bakery, grocery …) to prepare your picnic basket. If you ask, your host can offer you a lunch basket . Feel free to order with Sophie, upon your arrival, for lunch the next day.

Before starting, remember to take with you one or more bottles of water and appetite suppressants (like cereal bars).

ASSISTANCE

We check and recondition each bike before the trip. However, no cyclist is safe from damage. We guarantee you assistance 7 days a week in the event of a problem for us. Only in this case, assistance is included in the price.

In the case of a minor incident such as a cycle's chain coming off or a flat tire, we request you to make the repairs yourself . A repair kit will be provided before you leave. However, you can call for assistance, but in this case, it will be charged according to the number of kilometers travelled to reach you.

You can also use assistance if, during the stay, you prefer to change equipment and finish the route with an electric bike (subject to availability). You can also call us in the unlikely case, where you want to give up the experience. We then charge a supplement.

PAYMENT

When you submitted your reservation request, we will send you a customized quote that best meet your expectations. We ask you to return the signed quotation by email or by post to acceptance.

This must be accompanied by payment of the deposit. Payment is made either by bank cheque (only french banks) or by bank transfer stating the quote number.

A deposit of 30% of the total amount of the stay must be paid at the time of booking. The payment of the balance must reach us no later than 30 days before your departure. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, we request the payment of the entire stay.

CANCELLATION

If the cancellation is made more than 30 days before departure : payment of 30% of the total amount of the stay.
If the cancellation is made 29 to 15 days before departure : payment of 50% of the total amount of the stay.
If the cancellation is made 14 to 8 days before departure : payment of 75% of the total amount of the stay.
If the cancellation is made less than 7 days before departure : payment of 100% of the total amount of the stay.
