DAY 1

Monthermé – Givet

64 km (100% greenway) possibility of reducing mileage on simple request

DEPARTURE : 10:00 a.m. Montherme (possibility of delaying the departure time on request)

First of all, collect your bike, the bags, the roadbook, check that you have a bottle of water and your lunch picnic. Before setting off on the Voie Verte, take the time to stop at the Brasserie de Monthermé. You follow the Meuse following its meanders and discover magnificent landscapes all along this route. Pause Revin to find the “Spanish House”. Stop at Fumay to discover its history of Slate extraction. You will love Haybes, its rich architecture and its micro brewery, The Clos Belle Rose. At the end of the day, you will stop at Givet, it will be an opportunity to drink an Ardennes beer on the terrace, on the banks of the Meuse.

DAY 2

Givet – Rocroy

Elevation +690m

Leaving Givet, you quickly cross the border, and here, you are soon in Belgium. You will take the RAVeL, a nice bike path that was originally a railway line. The first kilometers are done without great difficulties until you reach Mariembourg. Take the opportunity to visit the Brasserie des Fagnes where you can eat. Take a break in Nismes to discover this charming village and its gardens of O. Take strength to climb a few grades, that will soon lead you to the "Ry de Rome", this water reservoir where you will certainly observe some beautiful ornithological specimens. A few more kilometers and you will have arrived in the small, charming town of Rocroy.

DAY 3

Rocroy – Signy-le-Petit (through Chimay)

Do not leave Rocroy without discovering its fortifications. Take the time to walk around the ramparts and learn its history. During this third day, you will cross the border again until you reach the medieval town of Chimay, its Castle of the Princes, its Collegiate Church of Saints Peter and Paul, a perfect place to take a break. A few kilometers further south, you arrive at the Abbey of Scourmont where the monks still brew the famous Trappist beer of Chimay.

Signy-le-Petit – Signy l'Abbaye

For this last step, you will discover some magnificent fortified churches very emblematic of Thiérache. Over hill and dale, your road winds through the countryside and ends up crossing the Forest of Signy l'Abbaye. be careful, you might meet a deer, fox or wild boar. You have arrived at Signy l'Abbaye. Take a seat on the terrace of the Inn to enjoy an Ardwen beer or a beer from the Abbey of Signy.

No problem, you can enjoy the same benefits. However, a 40% supplement will be applied to the price of your stay.

You come with children ?

We make you enjoy a preferential rate to experience cycling tourism with your family. This rate is applicable only if the child is accompanied by two adult participants and sharing the same room.

The price includes the rental of a child bike or the rental of a trailer according to its age and size.

You come with your own bike ?

You can come with your own equipment. Please mention it when booking.

Our park is made up of CUBE brand adult mountain bikes. This german brand whose reputation for robustness is well established. The bike rental is included in the price, as well as the rental of the helmet, a safety vest, a lock and a repair kit (patches, bicycle pump).

The e-bikes are also CUBE, with a Bosch engine and a 500W battery to ensure complete autonomy throughout the day. Before the start, we give you a battery charger. So, you can each evening, at the stage, recharge your battery for the next day. Electric bikes are suitable for people over 1.55m.

Our company is very recent, our bike fleet is currently relatively small. We reserve the right to call on external service providers to best suit your needs, while offering the same range of services.

All are waterproof.
Before the start, we give you a rear bag of 20l per person which will allow you to board the necessary for the day (Picnic lunch, bottle of water, rain clothes, warm clothes). According to our availability, you can ask for an extra bag if you feel the need.
We give a front bag per crew , allowing you to use your smartphone in GPS guidance by being accessible directly on the handlebars.
In the case, where you would not have chosen "luggage transport», we give you back two bags of 20l per person to embark needed for your entire stay. To make the most of your stay and feel comfortable, we recommend not to use backpack.
If you chose the "luggage", we take care of transportation and you find your luggage every night to step (Due to a 20kg luggage per person max). To ensure the best possible transportation, we ask you to get off your luggage in the morning, at the hotel reception, 4 DAYS VAUBAN AND GONZAGUE. However, you can enjoy your room longer by respecting the start time of each hotel.
Before your start, we give you a roadbook detailing day per day the itinerary to follow and the points of interest. This roadbook is available in french or in english for a few trips.
When you pay the balance of your stay, we send you by email the GPX files of your itinerary. From home, you can save them in your smartphone and download an application to use these files (we recommend the free application "GPX Viewer"). Then, you can, during your stay, use your phone as a GPS, even if you don't have access to the network.

During this trip, you will be accommodated in hotels or bed and breakfasts, subject to availability. A hearty breakfast is included in the price.

Meals are not included in the price of the stay.

You are accommodated in the center of towns and villages. The evening, you can easily reach on foot or by bike a restaurant that suits your desires and your budget.

We advise you to bring your lunch picnic basket before leaving each of the stopover villages, either with your host by reserving your basket the night before, either by buying what makes you happy in the different shops. Before starting, remember to take with you one or more bottles of water and appetite suppressants (like cereal bars).

We check and recondition each bike before the trip. However, no cyclist is safe from damage. We guarantee you assistance 7 days a week in the event of a problem for us. Only in this case, assistance is included in the price.
In the case of a minor incident such as a cycle's chain coming off or a flat tire, we request you to make the repairs yourself . A repair kit will be provided before you leave. However, you can call for assistance, but in this case, it will be charged according to the number of kilometers travelled to reach you.
You can also use assistance if, during the stay, you prefer to change equipment and finish the route with an electric bike (subject to availability). You can also call us in the unlikely case, where you want to give up the experience. We then charge a supplement.

When you submitted your reservation request, we will send you a customized quote that best meet your expectations. We ask you to return the signed quotation by email or by post to acceptance.

This must be accompanied by payment of the deposit. Payment is made either by bank cheque (only french banks) or by bank transfer stating the quote number.

A deposit of 30% of the total amount of the stay must be paid at the time of booking. The payment of the balance must reach us no later than 30 days before your departure. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, we request the payment of the entire stay.

If the cancellation is made more than 30 days before departure : payment of 30% of the total amount of the stay.
If the cancellation is made 29 to 15 days before departure : payment of 50% of the total amount of the stay.
If the cancellation is made 14 to 8 days before departure : payment of 75% of the total amount of the stay.
If the cancellation is made less than 7 days before departure : payment of 100% of the total amount of the stay.
